Meet Dr. Stephen Andreoni

Dr. Stephen Andreoni is a board-certified Family Medicine physician and the founder of Huntington Direct Primary Care.

He completed medical school at Ross University and his residency through Brown University, where he developed a strong foundation in patient-centered care.

After years in traditional practice, he saw firsthand how rushed visits and limited access were affecting patient care. Huntington Direct Primary Care was built to change that.

By keeping a smaller patient panel, Dr. Andreoni is able to spend more time with each patient — offering thoughtful, personalized care and direct access when it matters most.

His philosophy is simple: better care starts with time, attention, and access.

Do I still need health insurance?+
DPC is not a replacement for health insurance — it replaces most of what you'd use your primary care benefits for. We recommend pairing your membership with a high-deductible health plan (HDHP) or catastrophic coverage for hospitalizations, surgeries, and specialists. Many members find this combination saves them significant money each year while improving their day-to-day care.
What does the monthly fee actually cover?+
Your membership covers unlimited office visits, same- or next-day appointments, direct access to Dr. Andreoni via phone, text, or email, telehealth visits, and many in-office procedures. Labs, imaging, and medications are available at deeply discounted wholesale prices — often 80–90% less than retail.
Can I use my HSA or FSA to pay?+
Yes. DPC membership fees are generally eligible for HSA and FSA spending. We recommend confirming with your plan administrator, but most members use their HSA/FSA to cover the monthly fee with pre-tax dollars — making the effective cost even lower.
What if I need a specialist or hospitalization?+
Dr. Andreoni will coordinate specialist referrals and communicate directly with other providers on your behalf. For hospitalizations, you'll use your insurance. Dr. Andreoni can help you navigate the process and stay informed throughout your care — that continuity is something traditional practices rarely offer.
Is there a long-term contract?+
No long-term contracts. Membership is month-to-month and can be cancelled at any time with no penalty. We believe if we're doing our job well, you'll want to stay — so there's no need to lock you in.
How is DPC different from concierge medicine?+
Concierge practices often charge $2,000–$5,000+ per year and still bill insurance on top of that fee. DPC is more affordable — typically $50–$150/month — with transparent, all-inclusive pricing and no insurance billing at all. The personal access and relationship are similar; the cost structure is very different and far more accessible.
